Your Blood pressure Doesn’t Care About the Economy—But You Should
Let’s get real for a second.
Your blood pressure doesn’t care what the stock market is doing.
Your A1C isn’t watching inflation or interest rates.
Your joints, your strength, your cardiovascular system? They aren’t checking the news.
Yes—being smart with your finances is essential. Save where you can. Be mindful.
But you cannot mortgage your health in an effort to save your wallet.
I’ve been inside hospitals and nursing homes, sitting with loved ones who made that trade.
They skipped the workouts, put off healthy food, ignored the signs… and paid for it in ways money can’t fix.
It’s not just heartbreaking—it’s preventable.
Here’s the good news: taking care of your health doesn’t have to cost you a fortune.
In fact, the basics are free or very low cost—and they can get you 85-90% of the way to a healthier, longer, more energized life.
Here’s your action plan:
1. Strength Train 2-3x Per Week
Focus on big compound lifts—think squats, deadlifts, presses. Aim for 45-60 minutes per session.
You don’t have to go max effort, but don’t be afraid to go heavy. Build that strength.
2. Build a Cardio Base
Keep it simple. Three hours a week of Zone 2 training (where you can still talk but feel your heart working).
Walking, biking, hiking—it all counts.
3. Train Your VO2 Max
On a bike, rower, or treadmill:
Do 4 rounds of 4 minutes hard (like, really hard), with 3 minutes of easy rest in between.
This Norwegian 4×4 protocol is powerful, efficient, and time-tested.
4. Eat High-Quality Protein
Aim for your goal body weight in grams of protein per day, mostly from animal sources.
Your muscles and metabolism will thank you.
5. Hydrate
Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day.
It sounds simple, but it’s a game-changer.
6. Prioritize Sleep
You need 7-8 hours of actual sleep—being in bed doesn’t count.
Deep, restorative sleep is your body’s secret weapon.
7. Get Sunlight Daily
Natural sunlight regulates mood, hormones, and sleep cycles.
Get outside—early and often—without burning.
This list won’t cost you much.
But neglecting these habits? That will cost you—physically, mentally, and financially.
So here’s the truth:
You don’t need fancy supplements or 10-step biohacks.
You just need to start.
And if you’re unsure where to begin or need a nudge to get going—reach out.
Drop a comment, shoot me a message, or book a free consult with a coach who gets it.
Because your health is the foundation for everything else—and you deserve to feel strong, confident, and in control.
