Why Drinking Too Much Water at Night Can Hurt Your Sleep
A lot of people fall behind on hydration during the day and then try to make up for it at night.
The problem is that large amounts of fluid late in the evening can disrupt sleep.
Frequent trips to the bathroom make it harder to stay asleep and harder to fall back asleep afterward.
Instead of trying to “catch up” late in the day, it’s often better to focus on hydration earlier.
Getting a large portion of daily water intake done in the morning or earlier in the afternoon tends to work much better.
It’s easier on the system and less likely to interfere with sleep quality.
If hydration has been inconsistent, improving timing is usually one of the simplest places to start.
If your sleep, recovery, or energy has been inconsistent, reach out or stop by and we can help you build habits that actually work long term.
