What To Do When You Wake Up Too Early
Waking up too early is frustrating, especially when you know you still need more rest.
Most people either try to force themselves back to sleep or just get up and start their day.
Neither option is ideal.
There’s a better way to handle that window.
Staying in bed and doing something low-effort like meditation can help your body stay in a relaxed state.
Guided options like yoga nidra are useful because they give your mind something to follow without waking you up further. Even if you don’t fall back asleep, you’re still getting some recovery.
Simple breathing can work as well.
In some cases, using a more focused approach like counting can help bring your attention back under control, especially if your mind has been scattered.
The goal isn’t to force sleep.
It’s to make use of that time without fully shifting into being awake.
If your sleep, recovery, or energy hasn’t been where you want it, it’s usually part of a bigger picture. If you want help putting together a plan that works for your body, reach out or stop by and talk with a coach.
