What to Do When You Wake Up in the Middle of the Night

If you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep, the worst thing you can do is stay in bed and try harder.
That’s what most people do.
They lay there, force it, and get frustrated.
Over time, that actually trains your brain to associate your bed with being awake instead of asleep.
So if you’ve already tried the basics — breathing, stretching, supplements — and you’re still awake, do this instead:
Get out of the bedroom.
Keep the lights low and do something low-stimulation.
Read a few pages.
Listen to something calm.
Give your mind a chance to reset.
Then go back to bed when you feel sleepy again.
It’s simple, but it works because it breaks the “awake in bed” pattern.
If this keeps happening, it’s usually not random.
Sleep is heavily influenced by your training, stress levels, and nutrition.
Fix those, and sleep tends to follow.
If your sleep has been inconsistent, reach out — I’ll help you figure out what’s actually causing it.
